I plugged my surge protector into this extension cord after running it
across my basement to one of our house's few grounded outlets. It's good
for computers to be grounded to prevent static damage to components. My
Belkin surge protector says the cord is grounded, and it's always been
right. My computer is on 24/7 and I've never had a power interruption in
the months I've owned this cord.
There seems to be a lot of hubbub about this cord within other people's
product reviews on here. The one that I got is probably about 100 feet
long (I didn't measure), and it does a good job of being an extension
cord. Orange is good to see in my lawn so I don't run it over with the
electric mower and shred it (does that happen? I've been worried about
that). Anyways, it's an extension cord. It seems to supply up to the
10 amps that it says it does. The grass on my lawn isn't as long as it
would be without the cord.
This cord lives in my garage. I use it primarily to reach the front of
the house to power an electric mower and a trimmer roughly once a week. I
have already hit it with the trimmer, but it sustained no damage. It
should also be suitable for running power to holiday lights this winter.
If a light-duty cord is what you need, this one offers good quality and
value. I didn't want to pay a lot but I wanted a good product, and this
purchase met my expectations.
