This is a great unit, as soon as I got it my tap water in Vegas was 435
which is VERY high, so I tested some bottled water and it was 12, then I
went a tested a few different outside water vendors and found a few
that are better then bottled water, I have read a bunch of articles and
they all way you should drink water 0-50 the lower the better as higher
water levels are bad for you. This unit is great as pour a little in (DO
NOT PUT THE WHOLE UNIT IN THE WATER, JUST UP TO THE WATER LINE) press
the on button and read what it says on the large digital display, if you
can not see it in the water, push the second button which will hold the
reading so you can take it out of the water to read it.
This
cheap (inexpensive) device will instantly verify and, then you can deny
or accept water quality for any use. I perpormed several tests for
accuracy, consistancy, and ease of use. It is very light weight and
easily carried back packing. I will use it in my RV,crusing yatch,
camping and anywhere I want to know what is in the water being used.
Don't limit yourself to just "drinking water" The use for my original
purchase was to observe and verify a new filtration system being
installed in my residence. I soon realized that this little wonder will
be usefull for many applications....like the resturant water in strange
places.
